HIPAA Update

In January of 2003 we updated our current Misys PM system to address the HIPAA requirements for Transaction and Code Sets Standards that must be met by October of 2003 (we are currently on a one year extension). In April we added another update. We are monitoring our preparedness and at this time are on course for compliance.

Peninsula InfoMed is also working on addressing the privacy and security regulations that affect us as a business associate and have incorporated business associate language in all of our current contracts. Over the next two years we will be working on addressing the security regulations.
